Our view

The Omni XLT 120 refractor provides a little more insightful deep-sky performance compared to the Omni XLT 102 refractor. The extra aperture offers brighter images and higher image contrast. Higher magnifications are possible on the moon and planets because of the extra aperture, along with the detection of fainter deep-sky images.  This telescope can be also be used successfully as a white light solar telescope with the addition of a full aperture solar filter. The German equatorial mount is simple to use with smooth slow motion controls, and optional single or dual axis motors can be added for tracking in RA. Astrophotography is easily accomplished by placing a digital SLR at the telescope focus, attaching a compact camera over the eyepiece, or a webcam in place of the eyepiece.
